The Contacts module is the "Single Source of Truth" for your business. It is more than just an address book; it is a living history of every interaction, preference, and transaction associated with a person or organization.
Organizing Your Database
A messy CRM is a useless CRM. Myra provides several tools to keep your data structured.
1. Smart Lists and Segmentation
Instead of one long list, use Smart Lists to group contacts based on dynamic criteria.
- Example: Create a list for "Leads in London who haven't been contacted in 5 days."
- As soon as a contact meets the criteria, they are added to the list. As soon as you call them, they disappear from it.
2. Tags
Tags are flexible labels you can add to contacts (e.g., "VIP," "Event-Attendee-2023," "Needs-Follow-up"). Tags are great for quick filtering and for triggering specific automation workflows.
3. Custom Fields
Every business is different. You can create custom fields to track the data that matters to you:
- Text: For "Pet's Name" or "Favorite Coffee."
- Dropdown: For "Industry" or "Lead Source."
- Currency: For "Estimated Deal Value."
- Date: For "Contract Expiry" or "Onboarding Date."
The 360-Degree Contact View
When you open a contact record, you see the "Timeline." This is a chronological feed of everything that has happened:
- Emails & SMS: Read the full content of every message sent and received.
- Call Logs: Listen to recordings and read AI summaries.
- Page Visits: (With our tracking pixel) See which pages of your website the contact has visited.
- Payments: See their lifetime value and a history of all invoices paid or outstanding.
Data Hygiene and Maintenance
To ensure your team is working with the best data, Myra includes automated hygiene tools.
- Duplicate Detection: The system constantly scans for identical email addresses or phone numbers. When a match is found, it offers a "One-Click Merge" to combine the records without losing any history.
- Bulk Actions: Need to add a tag to 500 people? Or move 50 leads to a different owner? Use the checkboxes in the list view to perform bulk updates, exports, or deletions.
- DND (Do Not Disturb): Easily manage marketing consent. If a contact unsubscribes or asks not to be called, the DND flag is set, and Myra will automatically block future automated outreach to that person.
Relationships: Contacts vs. Companies
For B2B organizations, you can link multiple individual Contacts to a single Company record.
- The Company record aggregates the data from all its employees.
- See the "Total Account Value" and "Total Communication History" for a corporation in one view.
Import and Export
- CSV Import: Move your data from Excel or another CRM. Our intelligent mapper remembers your previous configurations to make repeated imports a breeze.
- Integrations: Sync contacts in real-time with Google Contacts, Outlook, or iCloud to ensure your phone always knows who is calling.
AI Contact Insights
Don't spend 20 minutes reading old notes before a call. Use the AI Summary button.
- The AI analyzes the last 6 months of interaction and gives you a 3-sentence briefing: "This client is happy with the product but concerned about the recent price increase. They have a renewal coming up in 2 weeks and prefer SMS over Email."
Permissions and Privacy
- Visibility Rules: You can set contacts to "Private" (only the owner can see them) or "Team" (everyone can see them).
- Export Protection: Prevent data theft by restricting the "Export to CSV" permission to only high-level admins.
- GDPR Compliance: Use our built-in tools to handle "Right to be Forgotten" requests by permanently scrubbing a contact's data while maintaining anonymized financial records.
FAQs
How many contacts can I store? Most plans include a generous base limit (e.g., 10,000 or 50,000). High-volume plans offer unlimited contact storage.
Can I recover a deleted contact? Yes. Deleted contacts are moved to the "Trash" for 30 days before being permanently erased. You can restore them with all their history intact during this period.
