Custom domains

Serve the app, booking pages, forms, and emails from your own domain.

Custom domains are the cornerstone of a professional, white-labeled experience. By connecting your own domain, you remove all references to Myra from your URLs, ensuring that your clients and leads stay within your branded ecosystem. Whether it's for the CRM login, a high-converting booking page, or a secure proposal, your domain is what they see.

What Can You Branded?

1. The App & CRM

Instead of accessing the platform via app.pulsepost.ai, your team and clients can log in at app.yourcompany.com or portal.yourcompany.com. This includes the entire dashboard, inbox, and settings interface.

2. Public Booking Pages & Forms

Every booking page and lead capture form you create is hosted on a public URL. With custom domains, these look native to your website:

  • book.yourcompany.com/strategy-call
  • apply.yourcompany.com/new-client-form

3. Outgoing Communication

To maximize email deliverability and trust, you should send emails from a subdomain like mail.yourcompany.com or notify.yourcompany.com. This ensures that "From" addresses and tracking links use your domain, reducing the likelihood of landing in spam.

Step-by-Step Setup Guide

Myra makes DNS management as simple as possible.

  1. Go to Settings: Navigate to Settings → Custom Domains and click Add Domain.
  2. Enter Your Domain: Type in the subdomain you wish to use (e.g., app.mybusiness.co.uk).
  3. Configure DNS: Our system will generate the specific records you need to add to your registrar (GoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare, etc.).
    • A Record: Usually points to our load balancer IP.
    • CNAME Record: Used for subdomains to point to our secure server.
    • TXT Record: Used for domain ownership verification.
  4. Verification: Once you've added the records, click Verify. Myra checks DNS propagation every 60 seconds.
  5. SSL Issuance: Once verified, we automatically issue a Let's Encrypt SSL certificate for your domain. This ensures all traffic is encrypted (HTTPS) and displays the "secure" padlock icon in browsers.

Multiple Domains & Agency Use Cases

For Standard Workspaces

You can add multiple domains to a single workspace. For example, you might use one domain for your internal CRM and a completely different domain for a specific marketing campaign's booking pages.

For Agency Partners

Agencies have the power to assign unique domains to each sub-account. If you manage "Client A" and "Client B," each can have their own branded portal (e.g., portal.clientA.com and portal.clientB.com), all managed from your single agency login.

Best Practices

  • Use Subdomains: We recommend using subdomains (like app. or portal.) rather than your root domain (yourcompany.com). This keeps your main website hosting separate from your CRM operations.
  • Check CAA Records: If your domain has CAA records in DNS, ensure they allow "letsencrypt.org" to issue certificates, otherwise, the SSL setup will fail.
  • Wait for Propagation: DNS changes can take anywhere from a few minutes to 48 hours to propagate globally. Don't worry if it isn't "Verified" instantly.

Common Pitfalls

  • Cloudflare Proxy (The "Orange Cloud"): If you use Cloudflare, ensure the proxy is turned OFF (Grey Cloud) for the domain you are connecting to Myra, at least during the initial verification and SSL issuance.
  • Typos in DNS: Double-check that you haven't included the domain name twice in your registrar (e.g., entering app.yourdomain.com in a field that already appends yourdomain.com).
