Myra is built as a Progressive Web App (PWA). This means you get the best of both worlds: the power and speed of a web platform with the convenience and native feel of a mobile app. There is no need to visit an App Store or Play Store; you simply "install" it directly from your browser.
Why use the PWA?
- Speed: PWAs are optimized for fast loading and smooth transitions on mobile hardware.
- Real-time Alerts: Get instant push notifications for new leads, messages, and mentions.
- Screen Real Estate: Running the app as a PWA removes the browser URL bar and navigation buttons, giving you a full-screen experience.
- Offline Access: View your calendar and read recently opened contact records even when you lose signal.
Installation Guides
Installing on iOS (iPhone/iPad)
- Launch Safari and navigate to your Myra workspace URL.
- Tap the Share icon (the square with an upward arrow) at the bottom of the screen.
- Scroll down the list of options and tap Add to Home Screen.
- Give the app a name (e.g., "Myra") and tap Add. The icon will now appear on your home screen. When you open it, it will launch in its own window without the Safari interface.
Installing on Android
- Open Chrome and go to your workspace URL.
- A prompt may appear at the bottom saying "Add Myra to Home screen." If it does, tap it.
- If no prompt appears, tap the three dots (menu) in the top right corner.
- Select Install app or Add to Home screen.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to confirm.
Installing on Desktop (Windows/Mac/Linux)
In Chrome, Edge, or Brave, look for the Install icon in the right side of the address bar (often looks like a small computer with a plus sign). Once installed, the app lives in your Applications folder and can be pinned to your Taskbar or Dock.
Managing Push Notifications
Push notifications are essential for staying responsive to clients.
- When you first open the PWA, the browser will ask for permission to send notifications. Tap Allow.
- To customize what triggers an alert, go to Settings → Notifications.
- You can toggle alerts for:
- New Lead Assignments
- Inbound SMS and Emails
- Missed Calls and Voicemails
- Appointment Reminders
- @Mentions in internal notes
Note: On iOS, push notifications for PWAs require iOS 16.4 or later.
Using the App Offline
Myra uses advanced caching to ensure you aren't stuck when the signal drops (e.g., in a lift or on a train).
- Read Access: You can view the Pipeline, Calendar, and any Contact records you have recently viewed.
- Drafting: You can compose SMS or Email replies while offline. These messages are placed in an "Outbox" and will automatically send as soon as your device reconnects to the internet.
- Syncing: Once back online, any changes you made (like moving a deal stage) will sync to the server and update your team's view.
Best Practices for Mobile
- Biometric Lock: Since the app contains sensitive CRM data, we recommend ensuring your phone has a Passcode, Touch ID, or Face ID enabled.
- Home Screen Layout: Place the Myra icon in your "Dock" or on the first page of your home screen for quick access to the unified inbox.
- Dark Mode: The mobile app follows your system settings. If your phone is in Dark Mode, Myra will automatically switch to a high-contrast dark theme to save battery and reduce eye strain.
Troubleshooting
- Missing "Add to Home Screen": Ensure you are using Safari on iOS or Chrome on Android. Third-party browsers (like Firefox on iOS) do not always support PWA installation.
- Notifications not arriving: Check your phone's system settings under "Notifications" to ensure the Myra app is permitted to show alerts and play sounds.
- App feels "stuck": If the app isn't refreshing, close it completely from your app switcher and restart it. This force-refreshes the cache.
